Title research: The Black Phone

Hi, welcome back!! I got this title from watchthetitle.com. My partner and I have done some more research on recent film we watched. The film is called The Black Phone. It is about a boy who got abducted. In the opening sequence of this movie, there are titles displayed throughout. The titles that are being displayed are the studio and the company, the production company, the title of the movie, all of the actors names appearing one by one onto the screen. Up next is the casting by, music by, editor, production designer, director of photography, executive producers, producer, and screenplay. Lastly, there is the title card 'directed by'. That is then that is the end of the opening sequence. There are many prioritized images in this opening sequence. These images are highways, and cars. Other images include children running around. These images were displayed due to the plot of this story being a boy being abducted. Showing these highways and other cars and children in the opening sequence adds to the suspense of the movie. This is building up the normal things that happen in a suspenseful movie that includes the factor of abduction. The connotations of these images are negative. The images create a sense that something bad is going to happen. In which there is a suspenseful mood in the opening sequence of this film. Normally in suspenseful movies, the images must convey that something will be occurring soon. Or, the film starts off with normality of some ones day to day life until a sudden change occurs. Scene 1: Establishing shot of the street with the name of the studio in the skyline. Scene 2: Shot of missing posters and the name of production company is shown on one of the missing posters. Scene 3: Shot of sidewalk then reporter comes in frame walking and actors names are being displayed  Scene 4: Reporter enters a building, which is their job.
