Today I already noticed I had most shots completely but something of the essence felt like it was missing. So I went through some of the basics. A suspense movie is one that keeps the audience on the edge of their seats, wondering what will happen next. The first step in filming shots for a suspense movie is to choose the right location. The director and the cinematographer should carefully consider the lighting, the camera angles, and the framing of the shots. With all that said I realized I could change many of these thing to add the effect. The first step was to analyze the type of shots I had been using. The suspense genre relies heavily on close-ups, extreme close-ups, and medium shots to create tension and build suspense. The camera movements should be slow, deliberate, and smooth to enhance the suspense. This meant I had to consider the use of sound in the movie, and the effects of the lighting, and the angles. And so I started re-filming certain shots. In shots where the camara

Today my mind was out of the game. I came home with a load of work. I stumbled onto the set, my head spinning from all the school work ahead of me. Today I didn't feel like filming one bit. I knew that tonight's shots would make or break in this suspense movie, and I was determined to give it my all though. As I took my place behind the camera, I realized, I didn't know what shots to re-take exactly. Nevertheless I wanted to take some extra kitchen shots incase I needed them in the editing stage. I took a deep breath and began to film. The first shot went off without a hitch, the first scenes were easy. But as we moved on to the next scene, I knew they'd get trickier. I took another shot, and took a break. As the day wore off I became more tired. The lighting was dim, the music eerie, and the acting was going good. However, I knew that the final shot would be the most important of all. Overall the shots were coming out good. Lastly I finished some scenes and just ran of

HELLO!  Welcome back. Today, I continued practicing some of the angles and shots with my partner. I began by calling over Dazira to my house. I checked that all the props we got last time were present. So I went over my scene again and again. Before I recorded them, I practiced a few times but with the props. They are being recorded so that we have a starting point for our film.. After examining the media, I'll see if anything needs to be rectified or improved before creating and assembling the video. To proceed, I shot my first scene, in which I exited the Tv area. However this one had to be repeated since the lighting was hideous. I wanted a dark vibe but it made everything un-watchable. It took those three scenes for me to get the lighting right. As I had my act together, I was able to obtain some wonderful coverage on what I was doing. Dezira then videotaped me acting out some other basic sequences from the short film. In my perspective, these turned out wonderfully. After a co

HELLO! Welcome back. Today My partner and I did another essential step of the film. I STARTED COLLECTING PROPS. For this film I needed many props and costumes essential to the film. These included outfits that gave casual vibes and many essential props. Me and Dazira started off by meeting in the mall. For instance I bought a nice and cheap vase, and also many make-up tools to add realism. We tried our best to split the bills. I also bought other less important props and quickly came to my house to start practicing some of the angles and shots with my partner. As I was going home we also saw another mall so I quickly stopped to see anything else of interest. Nevertheless, I still headed home and didn't find anything else. Once home, I made certain that everything was in order. Then I ran through my scene a few times. I practiced this a few times before recording them.  I was able to acquire a pretty fantastic piece of media on what I was doing once I got my act together. Dezira the

HELLO! Welcome back. I started practicing some of the angles and shots with my partner today. I started by going over to my place. And once there, I made certain that everything was in order. Then I ran through my scene a few times. I practiced this a few times before recording them. These are being recorded in order to be analyzed. After reviewing the media, I'll determine if anything needs to be repaired or enhanced before actually making and putting together the video. To continue, I shot my first scene, which was of me exiting the kitchen. I had to repeat this one since I started laughing halfway through. My laughter lasted approximately three more scenes. It took those three scenes for me to become serious. I was able to acquire a pretty fantastic piece of media on what I was doing once I got my act together. Dezira then videotaped me performing several of the short film's scenes. These came out nicely in my opinion. Unfortunately, the camera died in the middle of the shoo

Today, my partner and I had a video conversation and discussed which of our homes will be utilized in the film. Dazira was shown my living room. I also took her through my kitchen and dining room. These are some of the locations we planned to film our opening scene at. Afterwards I visited a few additional places. My pals' residences were many. The first property I went to had a nice setting, but the lighting was terrible and it was somewhat noisy. The second place I went to was perfect for the style I was striving for. Yet there wasn't enough room. I couldn't get from the kitchen to the dining room to the front door without hitting something. Being in such cramped quarters will not be ideal for recording. It will have an impact on the outcome I require for the film. Following that, Dazira and I walked over to my house and practiced some of the sequences. When I started filming, I wanted to make sure I was offering the audience good effects. I practiced each scene with the
