In the Coca-Cola industry commercials tend to follow this story telling genre. In many commercials they target family, thirst, friends, convenience, and try to promote it as the solution. Weather it’s making a memory, making friends, or solving that undeniable thirst, come present coke as a solution. A great example is the commercial we based off of, which basically narrates this story of this elder fellow having to leave his family for his fishing job, and the story end with the family reuniting with a coke. This type of problem-solution concept creates a great way to format a commercial. Coca-Cola connects to his audience by representing these relatable stories. By doing this, they accomplish a connection with the audience, and they become interested in the commercial. This is important because it communicates with the audience, and they become more likely to purchase. Although everyone knows what Coca-Cola is, their goal is to tempt the audience into purchasing their product. Overall, these stories telling method creates a great way to interact with the audience. I was the actor and director of the movie, so I had to be very analytic when it came to the production. At first, I wasn’t aware of the difficulty of the task. However, the more takes we made I started to get the hang of it. I began to do things such as such as picturing the result, analyzing the background, finding the right angles, and acting more realistically. As the production went on, I started to achieve better quality of filming, and managed to interpret the character. Throughout the filming we used our phones and laptops. We used an iPhone for the filming itself, and a laptop to do the editing. As a group we tried to split the editing upon all of us, so I’d be less work. I had the idea to use Cap cut since it’s a very simple, yet easy platform of editing. I most importantly came up with the editing ideas I had envisioned. Overall, this stage was the most important since it literally make the commercial go from a series of clips, to a well formatted art piece.
