PRODUCTION BLOG/FILMING

 Filming Blog

My crew and I started filming on October 8th. I was the director and actor, Dezira was the camara man, and Makayla brought the props. Never the less my group and I were running out of time and we had to film. But instead of using the alternative cardboard construction on this day, we chose to meet up and shoot. It had been an inclement weather for a while. Even the days afterwards were diagnose with high chance of precipitation. Thus, made the decision to follow the flow and continue filming. As a group me and Dazira made care to include the rain in our advertisement as well. On a reasonably safe local roadway, we all met up. After Makayla made care to pack the necessary props, I put some of them on, and got ready for acting.  Dezira started setting up the camera, and I started acting as soon as possible. I arrived in a homeless man's costume. I was wearing shorts and a gray t-shirt. The idea was to go for a cheap affordable look. I was even wearing makeup. My makeup appeared as black skid marks on my face. This  appearance was rather unclean due to the makeup, which also highlighted a homeless persona. I was trying to look sweaty, but it was literally pouring. As a result, we didn't need to soak me in order to make me look sweaty. The presence of rain draws attention to the character's discomfort. It also draws attention to how worn out the character is. My sister also gave us a ride from side to side as we needed to check out different places.  The result is that "he" feels desolate, thirsty, and moody. To top it off we even asked for permission to record in the gas station. My group and I nearly completed all of the pictures we needed for the day, and we will shortly start editing the video.
