MB PRODUCTION BLOG

Finally, I was able to film, and it went really well. I first set up the camera and photographed the people inside the car. They were all nervous and sweating like in the original music video. I used a close-up to emphasize the actors' emotions throughout this segment. As the rapper recited a number of his songs before to the main performance, I immediately switched my camera to him. I had to reshoot this scene because I could hear the actor laughing as the rapper got out of the car. After re-filming, I was able to get a shot of the actor getting out of the car from a distance. I then altered the scene and went to a bathroom, where I was able to record the rapper and also catch his nervousness. This needs to be done several times with various takes. I thought the camera was on for the first shot even though it wasn't. In takes two and three, the actor could be seen grinning and being crazy. I finally gave up and took a rest. I took this rest and then could continue my work. Actually, I made sure the camera was set up and ready this time. I also made sure the actors were ready to be serious before we started filming. I then took another image of the bathroom scene. Everything went much more smoothly this time. I had a very small amount of time to complete the filming. Which allowed me to email it to Makayla for her to begin editing. Additionally, it allowed me to confirm everything with Dezira in order to ensure that the music video replica was authentic. I can't wait to wrap up the music video shoot soon!
